We have gathered together, in a deliberately simple and practical way, a selection of activities to do around Piétrain, Jodoigne, Hélécine, Orp-Jauche, Hannut, Ramillies, Marilles… to fully enjoy the region, whether you come with family, friends or as a couple.

What will you find in this diary?

We have compiled a selection of activities close to the gîte, with something to please everyone:

Festive and friendly events

Concerts, festivals, markets, gourmet walks, village events, summer activities… Summer is particularly rich in the region! Among the highlights are:

• The Summer Terraces at Hélécine Castle ,

• the hot air balloon festival at Hélécine Castle ,

• the Hélé'Sing Festival ,

• Jodo'Hel Summer and its many activities,

• village festivals, flea markets, barbecues and typical local events.

Ideas for family outings

Hélécine Castle remains a must-see, with its playground, animals, wide open spaces, and events throughout the summer. But there's also:

• guided walks ,

• a maze in the cornfields ,

• treasure hunts ,

• internships for children ,

• and numerous one-off activities in the surrounding villages.

A chance to enjoy nature

The region is perfect for walking or cycling . Between the numbered junctions, country walks, small villages, nature reserves and gourmet stops, there is plenty to organize some very beautiful days in nature.

Our country cottage in Piétrain (Jodoigne) can accommodate up to 8 people and offers everything you need to relax after a day of exploring: 4 bedrooms, jacuzzi, billiards, wood-burning stove, a large garden, 2 beautiful south-facing terraces, a BBQ, and numerous walks starting from the cottage.
